Adam Blau is a composer, songwriter, orchestrator and arranger whose diverse works have appeared in film, television and theatrical productions.
Adam has composed score and songs for numerous feature films, including License to Wed, The Overbrook Brothers, Phoebe in Wonderland and Death on Demand, among others. Television credits include “Tori & Dean: Inn Love” on Oxygen, “Day Break” on ABC, “Pawn Queens” on TLC, and several other reality and scripted shows.
Adam has orchestrated feature films including School for Scoundrels and Smother. He has become a go-to arranger for specialty percussion parts, having orchestrated and produced extensive drumline sessions for film scores including Christophe Beck’s We Are Marshall and Mark Isham’s The Express. Adam’s percussion arrangements have made their way into several Disney productions, as well, including the Toy Story Playland attraction at Disneyland Paris and each of Joel McNeely’s scores for the Tinker Bell series of films.
In his capacity at the music editorial company Modern Music, Adam has worked with dozens of film music editors to help them select appropriate score and songs for films’ music tracks during the editing process.
Adam is a 2010-2011 Early Career Fellow at the Fred Rogers Center, where he is working with a team to create original and entertaining educational content for their “Early Learning Environment.”
Adam has extensive experience in the theatre, as well. In addition to music directing and arranging for numerous stage productions, Adam composed the cult favorite Monica! the Musical, a full-length musical comedy that satirically retold the Monica Lewinsky scandal. New York Magazine hailed the show as “warm-hearted,” “very funny” and “lowbrow-brilliant.” You really should have seen it — it was quite a trip.

Adam has played piano and keyboards with rock bands in venues ranging from Irving Plaza in New York to the House of Blues in Las Vegas.
