FUNNY OR DIE’S BILLY ON THE STREET Premieres on FUSE

This Thursday, 12/22, marks the premiere of Billy Eichner’s hilarious new show, Funny or Die’s Billy on the Street, on Fuse TV.

I had the good fortune of collaborating with Billy to come up with a fun theme song, as well as some additional music for the program.

Funny or Die’s Billy on the Street features the unbelievably talented Billy Eichner approaching New Yorkers to offer them money for correctly answering questions about pop culture. The show highlights the hilarity of not only Billy himself, but of the people of New York, as well. It must truly be seen to be believed.

“SPIT” Plays in Austin and Chicago

SpitAfter a successful premiere at the HollyShorts Film Festival in Los Angeles this summer, the short film “Spit” will be playing at two film festivals this coming month.  ”Spit” features a playful suspense score by Adam, and was created by writer/director Benjamin Hayes.

First up is the Chicago Comedy Film Festival, where the film will run at 2pm on Saturday, October 15th. More information about the festival and ticket availability can be found here.

The following week, the film will have two showings at the Austin Film Festival — October 22nd at 7:15pm, and October 26th at 9:30pm.  More information about the Austin Film Festival and ticket availability can be found here.

“Web Therapy” Premieres on Showtime – 7/19

Lisa Kudrow’s comedy series “Web Therapy” premieres at 11pm on Tuesday, July 19th on Showtime.  The program features Kudrow as Fiona Wallice — “a therapist with no patience. Tired of hearing about people’s dreams and feelings for fifty long minutes at a stretch, she devises a new kind of treatment, the three-minute video chat. And still, the sessions end up being largely about her.”

“The Overbrook Brothers” now on iTunes

“The Overbrook Brothers,” a feature-length comedy with a score by Adam Blau, is now available for purchase and rental in on iTunes in both SD and HD versions.

The film, by director John Bryant, tells the story of “two bitter, arch-rival brothers [who] discover they’re adopted, and the revelation sends the two adversaries on a hilarious, and sometimes bizarre, cross-country journey in search of their biological parents.”

“Pawn Queens” series premieres on TLC

Thursday, May 5th, marked the series premiere of Pawn Queens on TLC.  The television program follows the action surrounding “Naperville Jewelry & Loan” in Naperville IL.  Shop owners Minda and Nikki run a pawn shop that caters primarily to a female clientele.  Each episode we follow the two as they negotiate with customers and handle the behind-the-scenes goings-on at the shop.

“Constant” Selected as a Finalist in the GASC

The Great American Song Contest has selected its Finalists for 2010, and the song “Constant,” written by Adam Blau in collaboration with songwriter and keyboardist Josh Dodes and lyricist Z. Mulls was honored in the “Pop/Adult Contemporary” category.

EW: TLC Orders “Pawn Queens” Series

“The ladies of pawning are getting their own series on TLC.

The network has given a series order to Pawn Queens after trying out the concept in a special that aired back in November.
